Terms

Plain-English terms for buying and using Edict. The short version: pay once, it’s yours, and if it’s not for you, you get your money back.

Updated 2026-07-09

The deal

Edict is a one-time purchase. You pay once and get your license key by email, plus free updates across this version, delivered through the app’s built-in updater.

A license is for one person. Use it on the Apple Silicon Macs you personally use; buying for a team means one license per person. Don’t share or resell your key.

Before you buy, there’s a 7-day fully-functional trial. No account, no card, it just runs.

Payment

Purchases are handled by Polar, the merchant of record for Edict. Polar processes your payment and any sales tax or VAT, and your license key is emailed to you right after checkout.

Refunds

Not for you? You have 14 days from purchase to get your money back, no questions asked. Email from the address you bought with, and Polar processes the refund to your original payment method.

No warranty

Edict is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. It’s built and tested with care, but you use it at your own risk, and uninterrupted or error-free operation isn’t promised.

To the maximum extent the law allows, the developer’s total liability for any claim arising from Edict is limited to what you paid for your license.

Third-party software

Edict ships with third-party software and model weights, each under its own license. The full attributions and license texts:
